I found this on Facebook and thought it would be appropiate for this blog.
Now, I can’t see anything “bad” about the costume, so I’m assuming the “fail” has to do with her weight…

I saw this last week as well. Her costume isn’t bad at all! It’s sad that people only focus on outward appearance, and I wish that we could all just have fun. There’s already too much pressure to be perfect in the outside world; now it’s invading our “safe place”, our “nerd haven”. And that’s really sad. So many young cosplayers are getting eating disorders and trying to be perfect and it really upsets me.
If you want to lose weight, do it NOT FOR COSPLAY, but for your health. And do it in a healthy manner. Diet pills and not eating/purging are VERY VERY bad for your health. Working out it hard; even for someone who is tiny, I still want to tone up and I find myself too lazy to do it. But if you focus on your health, it may be a little easier.
That being said, weight is entirely your choice and as long as you’re happy in your body, that’s what matters.

Page still under construction, so bear with me.
NotBadCosplay is a blog that was initially made to battle the "bad cosplay" tag here on tumblr. It quickly grew to spreading positivity in the community and promoting a good attitude with cosplayers.
